Mandatory Orientation
Mandatory Registered Student Organization (RSO) Orientation Session
To support student organization leaders in successfully navigating campus policies and expectations, the Center for Student Engagement (CSE) hosts a required Registered Student Organization (RSO) Orientation at the beginning of each Fall semester.
This orientation is required for both new organizations and returning organizations completing re-registration. Each organization must send its President and Treasurer to attend. If an organization has co-leaders in either role (e.g., co-presidents or co-treasurers), only one individual per position is required to attend. The orientation includes position-specific sessions designed to ensure student leaders understand the policies, procedures, and guidelines that govern the student organization community.
For new organizations applying during the Fall cycle, further instructions regarding orientation completion will be sent via email as part of the application process.
Completion of the RSO Orientation is required to maintain recognized status and access to student organization funding. Failure to attend will result in the revocation of organizational recognition and funding for the semester.
RSO Presidents and Treasurers will receive RSVP instructions after their organization’s initial re-registration application has been approved on LUCommunity. Please monitor your email closely for updates and instructions.
