Campus Protocol
If a student, faculty, staff, or visitor encounters a non-LUC law enforcement officer on campus, immediately contact Campus Safety (773-508-SAFE/7233) to inform them of the presence of non-LUC law enforcement on campus.
If you feel personally unsafe, stay calm, move to a private space, and then call Campus Safety (773-508-SAFE/7233).
Please do not:
- Attempt to physically impede or touch law enforcement
- Accept, assess, or sign any documentation from non-LUC law enforcement
- Grant permission for non-LUC law enforcement officers to enter private spaces
Campus Safety will respond to the scene and follow university policy to determine a plan of action.
