Move Out
As the Spring Semester draws to a close, you will need to start thinking about your check-out process at the end of the semester. Following the instructions provided by our office will help ensure that your check-out goes smoothly.
At the end of the semester, you will need to move out of your residence hall room within 24 hours of your last final exam or by Monday, May 4 at 12PM (noon), whichever comes first.
When you have packed/removed your belongings and cleaned your room/suite/apartment, please proceed to your Building/Area Desk to check-out and return your key. Please have your Student ID ready to provide to the Desk Receptionist. If you are checking out between 10PM-6AM, return your key using the key dropbox and you will be checked out the following morning.
After you have left, Department of Residence Life representatives may inspect your room for any damages.
Closing Community Meetings
Your Resident Advisor will be hosting a Closing Community Meeting prior to move-out (the date for your meeting will be posted by your RA). During this meeting, your RA will share important information and answer any questions you might have. Attendance is required.
Spring Move Out Checklist
The below list outlines everything you need to do in order to properly check out of the residence halls! Make sure you check off ALL the items on this document as you prepare to leave. Talk to your RA if you have any questions.

Between April 22nd and May 4th all trash is expected to be brought to a centralized location noted on the map. During this time, trash rooms will be unavailable.

To avoid contamination of recycled items, recycling locations will remain in the respective locations. Please be mindful of signage and ensuring that only items that can be recycled are placed in these locations.
Donations
Think Green and Give is a collection event in which gently used items, clothing, small furniture/appliances and nonperishable unopened food and toiletries are collected.
Moving Carts
A limited number of moving carts will be available for checkout from hall or area desks. To ensure as many students as possible have access to this resource, students will have a limited time to utilize their checked out cart. Please note that carts are available on a first come, first serve basis.
