Eileen Cook

A bit about Eileen...
- Where's your hometown? Palos Heights, IL
- What’s one highlight from your first semester of college? Meeting so many fun people in my residence hall and exploring Chicago. Some of the folks I met on my residence hall floor became my best friends. Going to college in Chicago myself, I learned a lot about my passions by exploring the city.
- What do you wish you’d known when you started college? It is very normal to change your mind and explore multiple academic and career paths. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and seek out support or resources from staff and faculty. They are here to support you!
- What do you like about advising first and second year students? Transitioning into college can be a huge change. The opportunity to support students through this is very meaningful, and seeing students grow their confidence and find belonging at Loyola is amazing!
- What’s your favorite thing about Loyola? Lake Michigan views and the community among staff and students.
- What’s your favorite thing about Chicago? The Chicago music and comedy scenes. There are endless opportunities to get involved in the arts and see great shows!
- What do you like to do in your spare time? When I’m not at work, I’m likely studying for my MEd Higher Education courses, taking photos with my film camera, checking out live music, watching nature documentaries, or spending time at the lake with friends.
