Members of the Loyola Chapter of the Food Recovery Network collect extra food from campus dining halls, local farmers' markets, and restaurants and deliver it to food neighborhood pantries. During the fall 2025 semester, the student group set a new record, collecting more than 15,000 pounds of food for donation. This is the equivalent of 12,500 meals for people in need.

Gifts from private donors enabled the creation of two paid student coordinator positions, allowing the students to devote more time to the work. The coordinators organize the work of nearly 100 volunteers and build community partnerships to increase food donations.
