Update on the Center for Student Inclusion and Belonging
Friday, September 19, 2025
The Division of Student Development is committed to continually identifying and pursuing opportunities that empower us to better serve our students and equip them with the skills and experiences they need to grow, thrive, and lead–at Loyola and beyond.
As we celebrate the start of the 2025–2026 academic year, we are proud to share the successful establishment of our new Center for Student Inclusion and Belonging (CSIB). We invite all students to be involved and engaged in the Center’s efforts to build community, cultivate a sense of belonging, and learn from varied perspectives.
In March 2025, we announced the reorganization of our existing programming to better integrate our resources with the development of the new center. Since then, we have continued to engage in thoughtful research and dialogue with our students, faculty, staff, peer institutions, and community partners to ensure the new structure reflects the current needs of our students and will allow us to expand as our community evolves.
CSIB is now home to an array of programming designed to cultivate a campus community where all Ramblers can prepare to lead in an ever-changing world. The Center offers social, cultural, social justice, student leadership and empowerment, and mentorship programming.
Since launching, CSIB has engaged with more than 3,000 incoming students throughout orientation and welcomed 270 students to celebrate with us at the Club CSIB Welcome Reception and One Love Open House. Since the beginning of the semester, more than 110 of our students have signed up for mentorship programs.
We are excited to continue to foster opportunities for our students to connect with the Center, with one another, and with the Ignatian values that guide us. CSIB staff invites our community to visit the Center’s offices in Damen Student Center, suites 116 and 126 to learn more.
