Stritch Faculty and Staff Awards 2025
Two medical students announce an award winner at the 2025 Stritch Faculty and Staff Awards.
The Faculty and Staff Awards are an annual tradition at Stritch. Each year, individuals who have had made significant contributions to medical education and to our school are recognized with awards as voted on by students. At an awards reception in fall 2025, the M2, M3, and M4 classes honored individuals across various teams who exemplify our mission and provide valuable contributions to our school community.

The Class of 2028 recognized three individuals with awards:
Educator of the Year: Eva Murdoch, PhD, Associate Professor, Leischner Department of Medical Education
Outstanding Staff Members of the Year:
- Lorenzo Arredondo Anzures, Security Monitor, Campus Safety, Health Sciences Campus
- Ann Hillman, MDiv, Director of Health Sciences Campus Ministry
The Class of 2027 recognized three individuals with awards:
Educator of the Year: Theresa Kristopaitis, MD, Associate Dean for Curriculum Integration, Medical Education; Professor, Internal Medicine, Department of Medicine; Director, Mechanisms of Human Disease Course
Facilitator of the Year: Sean Greenhalgh, MD, Division Director and Associate Professor, Hospital Medicine
Excellence in Student Support: Justin Hoch, LSW, Chaplain, Health Sciences Campus

Attending of the Year: Luis Fernandez, MD, Professor, Surgery
Intern of the Year: Nasreen Al-Qadi, MD
Resident of the Year: Caressa Chen, MD
Interprofessional Educator of the Year: Bridget Enright, APRN, Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Acute Care
Additional Educator Awards:
The Class of 2025 honored exceptional faculty members with Outstanding Classroom Educator and Outstanding Clinical Educator awards, which were awarded at the Match Day celebration in March 2025. Learn more.
