Research Interests

Dr. Darwish’s research interests include glaucoma and uveitis, with a focus on surgical outcomes and imaging. Her work includes comparative studies of selective vs. micropulse laser trabeculoplasty, diagnostic reliability of fundus imaging tools, and inflammation-related ocular conditions such as viral retinitis and herpes zoster ophthalmicus. She also has experience in pediatric retina, teleophthalmology, and global ophthalmology curriculum development, along with early work in pulmonary microbiome analysis and sports physiology.
