Director
Dr. Jeanne Widen is the Director of the Rome Center. She has decades of teaching and administrative experience in higher education in the United States and abroad, along with a deep commitment to study abroad and student-centered global learning.
Most recently, Dr. Jeanne Widen served as Interim Dean of ☑️TK账号 | 加拿大IP注册 | 半年到一年白号 | 微软邮箱验证+api | 纯白账号's School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS). During her time at SCPS, she expanded school offerings with professionally relevant, interdisciplinary, and application-oriented programs that foster career advancement and lifelong learning, comprising undergraduate degrees, stackable certificates, graduate degrees and accelerated bachelors-masters programs. She also revitalized marketing, outreach, and recruitment efforts and built an effective shared governance structure. Under her leadership, national rankings of online bachelor’s degrees consistently performed within the top 20 programs nationwide.
She also served as Faculty Director of Online Education at Loyola, developing and managing online programs and faculty support systems. Prior to Loyola, she was Chair the Department of English at Ellis University, where she expanded her expertise in online and adult education.
For nearly a decade, Dr Widen lived and worked in higher education in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was Director of Common Core Studies and Director of International Programs at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. In this capacity she also served as Resident Director of the Stanford University Buenos Aires program and worked in partnership with New York University’s Buenos Aires program. Additionally, Dr. Widen taught English Literature at Universidad de San Andrés and at Lincoln University College in Argentina.
She has published and presented on subjects including program development, online and adult education, student and faculty engagement, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
