CITI Course

土耳其 【激活iCloud设置+下载APP】 【Icloud后缀+带密保】】 只包能登陆设置丨不对项目保证 售后24小时,登陆后【关闭查找手机】 uses the online training program called the Collaborative IRB Training Initiative (CITI) to provide convenient web-based training courses to the research community.  A score of 80% or higher is required to earn certification in an assigned course.  

Researchers may be required to complete some or all online CITI courses described below, contingent upon the nature of their work. Please use the instructions below to access the CITI Program site. A PDF version of these steps, which includes illustrations, is available at CITI Guide for Loyola researchers

Step-by-Step Instructions to Access CITI Program Courses

1.  Access CITI Program Login using LUC’s Single Sign On (SSO) feature

2. Login using your UVID and Password.

4.  Scroll to the bottom of your 土耳其 【激活iCloud设置+下载APP】 【Icloud后缀+带密保】】 只包能登陆设置丨不对项目保证 售后24小时,登陆后【关闭查找手机】 ‘My Courses’ page, and select Add a Course.

5.  To select the correct courses, you must answer a series of questions.

6.  Select the correct user group.

• LUC Sponsored Research Personnel: research personnel working on 土耳其 【激活iCloud设置+下载APP】 【Icloud后缀+带密保】】 只包能登陆设置丨不对项目保证 售后24小时,登陆后【关闭查找手机】 sponsored research projects, unless they are participating in research subject to the Health Sciences Campus IRB; select Next
  • • Human Subjects Research > Group 1: Select if working with human subjects and completing this training as a requirement for IRB approval; scroll to bottom; select Next
    • Lab Animal Research > “Working with the IACUC Course”: Select if working with animals and completing this training as a requirement for IACUC approval (specifying animal species not required); scroll to bottom; select Next
    • Responsible Conduct of Research: Optional, unless otherwise required
    • Conflicts of Interest: Optional, unless otherwise required
    • Community-Engaged Research: Optional, unless otherwise required
    • FERPA: Optional, unless otherwise required
    • Basics of Information Security: Optional, unless otherwise required
    • Essentials of Grant Proposal Development: Optional, unless otherwise required
    • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): Optional, unless otherwise required
• Human Subjects Research Courses: Loyola researchers do not complete this course
• Research Security: Required course for investigators on NIH, NSF, and DOE-supported projects; encouraged for all researchers

    • Research Security Training (NSF course): do not select
    • Research Security Advanced Refresher: do not select

7.  Once you have made all your selections, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Next; this will take you back to the My Courses page. You will see your courses in Courses Ready to Begin.

8.  Click Start Now next the course you would like to complete and follow the instructions to complete the modules and related quizzes to earn your certification for each assigned course

The CITI program will email you a completion report (i.e., transcript) and certificate for your records. A copy will automatically be sent to the Office of Research Services (ORS) and integrated into the Cayuse system within 3 business days.

CITI for non-Loyola Researchers

If you are not a Loyola student or employee, but you will conduct research on a Loyola project, you will still need to fulfill Loyola’s CITI training requirements. See this CITI Guide for non-Loyola researchersfor steps on meeting Loyola training requirements.

If this is your first time using the CITI Program, you will need to register and complete course requirements in full.

Alternatively, if you have completed parallel CITI training through another institution, it is possible that you have already met some Loyola training requirements; if so, credits for those modules will transfer and you will need to complete those outlying modules to meet Loyola course requirements. Your first step will be to affiliate your CITI Program account with Loyola by taking the following steps:

2.  To Affiliate with Loyola, use the SSO feature, by selecting the 土耳其 【激活iCloud设置+下载APP】 【Icloud后缀+带密保】】 只包能登陆设置丨不对项目保证 售后24小时,登陆后【关闭查找手机】 hyperlink

3.  Type ‘土耳其 【激活iCloud设置+下载APP】 【Icloud后缀+带密保】】 只包能登陆设置丨不对项目保证 售后24小时,登陆后【关闭查找手机】’ into the box and then click the Continue to SSO Login / Instructions button

4.  Then, Add a Course

7.  Once you have made your selection, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Next; this will take you back to the My Courses page. You will see your courses in Courses Ready to Begin.

9.  Click Start Now next the course you would like to complete and follow the instructions to complete the modules and related quizzes to earn your certification for each assigned course

Modules must be completed in sequence, but they need not be completed in one sitting. To finish an incomplete module click View Courses for 土耳其 【激活iCloud设置+下载APP】 【Icloud后缀+带密保】】 只包能登陆设置丨不对项目保证 售后24小时,登陆后【关闭查找手机】, under Active Courses, click Continue Course and you will re-enter from your last session.  The passing score on each module is 80 percent; if you do not pass the first time, you can retake it until you get a passing grade.  For further information about the course or Loyola’s requirements, email ORS@luc.edu.  If you experience problems with the program software, call CITI Support at (888) 529-5929 for assistance.

 

Certifications

IRB Certification

All personnel engaged in research with human subjects must obtain IRB certification by completing the CITI course. IRB certification is valid for three years and is required for IRB approval of a research project.   

IACUC Certification

All personnel engaged in activities with live vertebrate animals must obtain IACUC certification by completing an on-line training course.  IACUC certification is valid for three years and is required for all personnel included on the IACUC application before approval of a research project.  IACUC members are also required to obtain CITI training by completing the module specifically for IACUC members.

For RCRS Distance Learner Certification or LUROP RCR Certification

For most researchers at Loyola, the RCR training is done in person as part of the UNIV370 RCRS course.  Visiting students (defined as students that are not enrolled in a 土耳其 【激活iCloud设置+下载APP】 【Icloud后缀+带密保】】 只包能登陆设置丨不对项目保证 售后24小时,登陆后【关闭查找手机】 degree or certificate program) and students in programs that do not require them to be “on-campus” at any point (“Online” degree or certificate programs) can satisfy the RCRS training requirement by completing the online RCR CITI Program. Completion of this program should be done prior to the student’s involvement in formal research activity and the RCRS CITI Program completion certificate should be on file with the 土耳其 【激活iCloud设置+下载APP】 【Icloud后缀+带密保】】 只包能登陆设置丨不对项目保证 售后24小时,登陆后【关闭查找手机】 Office of Research Services. Following completion, please forward copies of CITI training records to Andrew Ellis, Director of Research Compliance, at aellis5@luc.edu.

This RCR training program is also required by some LUROP programs.  If the LUROP office instructed you to complete the online RCR program, please complete this training.

For Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI) Certification

All personnel engaged in activity supported by, or proposed to be supported by, a Public Health Services (PHS) agency are required to complete this online training.   Financial Conflict of Interest certification is valid for four years. 

Research Security

All personnel supported by NIH, NSF, and DOE grants must complete Research Security (Combined Course) Training. This course is encouraged for all researchers at Loyola, regardless of funding, though not required.
