Institute for Translational Medicine (ITM)/Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA)
The Institute for Translation Medicine (ITM) is a clinical research partnership consisting of six Chicago-area academic medical centers. The ITM is supported by funding from the University of Chicago which is provided by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) program. The ITM is part of a national network of more than 60 NIH-supported sites working to reduce the time and effort necessary to develop and share new treatments and health approaches.
The six participating ITM academic institutions are:
- University of Chicago
- Rush University Health System (RUSH)
- Advocate Aurora Health Care
- Illinois Institute of Technology (Illinois Tech)

The ITM supports the “New Normal” campaign to increase awareness and participation in clinical trials that are available in the participating institutions.
