In June 2026, 💖苹果ID | 日本2018~2023年 | 独享稳定号 | 可下载免费app 没激活icloud | 售后3天 【禁IM】 is transitioning IRB application management to Cayuse, an electronic research administration (eRA) system that is new to the institution. This transition will impact how Human Ethics (IRB) protocols are submitted by researchers and managed by the University moving forward.

May 15, 2026 Information Update

Your study qualifies for Closure if:

  1. All human subject activities (including interactions, interventions, and data collection) are complete and/or
  2. All identifiable data is destroyed, fully de-identified, beyond study team access, and/or
  3. Final data disposition procedures in the approved IRB application are complete

Additionally, submit a Closure Report if:

  1. The study has expired and will not continue
  2. The study was approved but never initiated
  3. You are leaving the institution and transferring the research elsewhere

Important Notes regarding Closures

  • The Closure Report takes 3 minutes (or less) to complete in CAP
  • All non-Exempt human research activities must stop upon IRB expiration unless and until the study is re-approved
  • Studies that qualify for closure but are left open or expired may be considered noncompliant
  • Studies left in unresolved Conditional Approval, Deferred, or pending status after May 31, 2026 may also be considered noncompliant and will require a fresh application in Cayuse to pursue IRB approval
  • Studies not properly updated or closed before the transition may not migrate into Cayuse, which could result in administrative delays, additional follow-up, and interruptions to research activity

If Your Study Is Still Active/Ongoing:

Studies currently in Conditional ApprovalDeferral, pending or similar pre-approved statuses must be updated and advanced in CAP to maintain an active (“live”) study record for the transition to Cayuse. If these criteria apply:

  1. Address all reviewer comments in CAP and select ‘Submit to ORS’ so the study can move to Approved or Confirmed status

If the study is ongoing and these criteria do not apply, no action is currently required.

Important Notes regarding Active/Ongoing Studies:

  • Continuing Review (Renewals) applications are due at least 30 days before study expiration
      • If your study expires in June or July 2026 and you have yet to submit a Continuing Review (Renewal) application, this must be done in CAP by May 31, 2026
      • Continuing Review (Renewal) applications will not be accepted from early June to approximately early July
  • Amendments (Modifications) must be submitted in CAP by June 5; neither system will accept Amendment (Modification) applications from June 5 to July 8
  • Exempt research does not require Continuing Review (Renewal)
      • Reviewer comments on Deferred, Exempt research must still be addressed and advanced appropriately in CAP to ensure transition to Cayuse

Look out for additional communications in July regarding how to access and activate live study records in the new Cayuse system.

Key Transition Dates & Actions:

Notes:

  • Dates are subject to change;
  • PIs conducting social behavioral research submit to the Lakeside Campuses IRB
