Certificates

Students pursuing their M.A. in Criminal Justice and Criminology (CJC) are required to complete five CJC courses and five electives. Two of these electives can be taken in other graduate programs, and there is a formal certificate program in the School of Environmental Sustainability at Loyola in Geographic Information Systems. Students who plan to complete the certificate as part of their CJC M.A. studies must also apply to the certificate program, be accepted, and then they may begin taking the certificate-related courses. Students who plan to earn a certificate while in the M.A. program should discuss their graduate-level elective options with the Graduate Program Director.
