Events and Partnerships
The Center for Student Inclusion and Belonging hosts events throughout the academic year to celebrate and educate the Loyola community around issues of inclusion and belonging. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome, regardless of religion, race, sex, gender, or sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
One Love Open House
One Love Open House is an annual event presented by the Center for Student Inclusion and Belonging during Welcome Week to connect with new and returning students to the Center staff by serving sweet treats in a fun-filled environment. Be sure to bring a friend and stop by! Open to all Ramblers.
Welcome Reception

Latine Heritage Month Celebration
Join us in honoring the rich, diverse, and vibrant histories of Latine communities during September and October as we celebrate Latine Heritage Month! Together, we’ll enjoy music, food, cultural activities, and moments of reflection that uplift the stories, traditions, and contributions of Latine people across identities and experiences.
LGBTQI+ History Month Celebration
Join us in honoring the rich and diverse history of the LGBTQIA+ community during October, which is LGBTQ+ History Month in a celebration! Together, we’ll enjoy music, food, activities, and reflection as a community. All Ramblers welcome.
First- Generation College Celebration
Join us through a university-wide collaborative celebratory event uplifting the journeys of first-generation college students, staff and faculty. The event is held in honor of National First-Generation College Celebration Day on November 8 each year, established in 2017 by the Council for Opportunity in Education. All Ramblers welcome.
Desserts in December
Desserts in December is a celebration of students' accomplishments throughout the fall semester and kick-off to Finals Week, over delicious desserts, music, and festivities! All Ramblers welcome.
MLK Day of Service
MLK Day of Service is a campus-wide opportunity to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through acts of service, learning, and community engagement. This day invites students, staff, and faculty to reflect on Dr. King’s commitment to justice, solidarity, and collective action while putting those values into practice.
Women's History Month
Women’s History Month is an opportunity for our campus to honor the leadership, creativity, resistance, and everyday contributions of women across all identities and experiences. Throughout March, we uplift the stories—past and present—of women who shape our communities, challenge injustice, and expand what’s possible throughout various programming
Asian,Pacific,Islander, and Desi American (APIDA) History Month
APIDA History Month is an opportunity for our campus to honor the diversity, leadership, cultural richness, resistance, and everyday contributions of APIDA communities across all identities and experiences. Throughout April, we uplift the stories—past and present—of APIDA communities who shape our global and local landscapes, challenge injustice.

Legacy Celebration
The Legacy Celebration commemorates the undergraduate, graduate, and professional students leaving their mark at Loyola and representing communities with storied legacies of strength, perseverance, excellence and diversity. While centering the experiences and achievements of Black, Indigenous, and people of color, first-generation college, and LGBTQ+ graduates, all Ramblers are welcome to participate in this meaningful celebration.
