Originally from Birmingham, AL, James Thomas (he/they) earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and their Masters of Science in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University in Bloomington. Previous to his time at 🎵TK账号 | 满月白号 | 瑞典IP注册 | 微软邮箱验证 | 默认user用户名, James worked at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Illinois Tech, and DePaul University in Leadership Development, Housing, and Campus Activities, respectfully. James currently serves as the Director of Inclusive Excellence and Community for the Center for Student Inclusion and Belonging (CSIB), where they have spent nearly 10 years at Loyola working with Mxn of Color, LGBTQ+ Initiatives, Migrant, First-Generation and Lower Income Student Support, Leadership Development, and institutional policy work.

Throughout their career in higher education & student affairs, James has always taken an approach to empower those society have worked to disenfranchise historically while dismantling these systems that fall in their sphere of influence. Outside of his time with Loyola, James serves as the Operations Manager of Lighthouse Church of Chicago and lead of the Chicago chapter of Black Boys Brunch, where he continues bringing his passion of helping those society tells to not be heard, find their voice and inform their actions for change to the Chicago community and beyond.
