Originally joining LUC in June 2023 as the inaugural Director of the Center for Black Student Excellence, Cory now helps lead CSIB following its merger, working alongside the Director of Inclusive Excellence and Community to advance the center's mission within the Division of Student Development.
Cory brings a diverse skill set to the institution, including program and policy development, implementation, evaluation, and comprehensive assessment. His work centers on fostering visibility, recognition, and a strong sense of belonging for students across Loyola, grounded in the university's Jesuit mission, Catholic Social Teaching, and Ignatian values. Through CSIB's signature programs and partnerships, he works to expand access, opportunity, and community for the entire student body.
Before joining LUC, Cory served in various roles in Student Affairs and Support Services at DePaul University, City Colleges of Chicago, and his alma mater, Northern Illinois University, where he earned his Bachelor's in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminology and his Master of Science in Education in Adult and Higher Education.
