Join Us for the Partial Solar Eclipse Viewing at Loyola’s Lake Shore Campus!

Those interested in watching the solar eclipse on the Lake Shore Campus are welcome to join us. We will gather in the green area in front of the Cudahy Science Hall.  A limited number of protective glasses will be provided for your safety on a first-come, first-served basis.

The partial eclipse begins slowly at 12:51p.m. when the edge of the Moon touches the edge of the Sun.  It becomes visible to the eye a minute later.  The sky starts to noticeably dim at 1:36p.m.  The Sun will be at its most hidden at 2:07p.m., and the Moon will completely leave the edge of the Sun by 3:22p.m.
