Director of Experiential Learning, Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health

Health Science Campus, Lake Shore Campus

As the Director of Experiential Learning at Loyola’s Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health I collaborate with students, faculty, and community partners to create high-quality, mission-driven learning experiences that prepare our students for meaningful careers.

My love story with experiential learning began in my own undergraduate years when I was - unknowingly at the time - enrolled in a project-based learning course my first semester. From there, experiential learning became the cornerstone of my academic journey: I engaged in academic service learning, did an internship, completed an independent study, wrote a thesis, studied abroad in Italy, did a study-away program in Washington, D.C., and conducted research in two departments. Those experiences shaped not only my education, but the way I understand student development, confidence-building, and professional formation.

Outside of work, I dabble in wheel-thrown pottery, woodworking, exploring Chicagoland with my husband, and spending time with our dog, Jeffrey.
