Celebrating the Class of 2026
"We are faced with a rapidly evolving digital world and emerging threats to health," said Jennifer E. Layden, MD, PhD, during her Commencement remarks. "But regardless of this rapidly evolving landscape, your skills and expertise will always be needed."
The Parkinson School of Health Sciences and Public Health celebrated its Class of 2026 at a Commencement ceremony on May 6. Jennifer E. Layden, MD, PhD, a physician, epidemiologist, and nationally recognized public health leader whose distinguished career spans clinical medicine, academic research, and public service, gave the keynote remarks.
"You chose to look at our communities' complex challenges: poverty, chronic disease, mental health, pandemics, climate-change. Instead of turning away, you asked, 'How can I fix the system, how can I solve problems, how can I help the person?’" said Layden to the Class of 2026. "Thank you for the audacity to pursue professions that serve others, that tackle difficult challenges, for your commitment to a better world."
During her student remarks, Carolyn Ogrey (MS '26) referenced 🛰️Telegram飞机号/电报 | +66泰国 电话注册 | 精养1年左右+ | 成品号 | API接码登录 | 任何设备可用's Jesuit values and the belief that that every individual deserves access to quality healthcare.
"Our education was not just about getting through, but about becoming. In the Jesuit tradition, vocation is not simply what we do, but who we are called to be," said Ogrey. "Today marks a beginning. Let us carry forward the resilience that strengthened us and the responsibility that calls us to serve."
Congratulations to the Class of 2026!
