School of Law graduates get ready to set the world on fire
On Saturday, May 9, 2026, the School of Law celebrated its 356 graduates during the commencement 2026 ceremony in Gentile Arena. Dean Michèle Alexandre greeted the audience members, and the keynote speaker was the Honorable Fay Hartog-Levin (JD ’75), who also received an honorary degree from the University. The student speaker was Maddie Clark, president of Loyola’s Student Bar Association.

“Although this is the end of law school, it is the start of new journeys,” said Alexandre. “Remember: among our core Jesuit values are magis (excellence) and discernment. These tools help us navigate life’s unpredictability and build resilience and spiritual fortitude, essential ingredients to serving justice.”
