In spring 2023, Autumn Mather accepted the position of head of Research and Learning Services at University Libraries and began her role on April 10, 2023. In this capacity, Autumn led Research and Learning Services across both the Lake Shore and Water Tower campuses, unifying them into a single department dedicated to providing a broad range of research and information services. These services include online and in-person instruction, workshops, and individualized research consultations. 

Prior to joining Loyola, Autumn served as Director of the Ryerson & Burnham Libraries at the Art Institute of Chicago and previously held the position of Head of Reference Services at the Newberry Library. 

She was widely known and will be fondly remembered as a genuinely kind individual with a gentle and generous spirit, deeply committed to advancing the library’s mission in service to students, faculty, staff, and the wider community.
